Clinique Redness Solutions Daily Protective Base SPF15 40ml

You get | 40 ml for £16 | SPF 15 | Oil-free
Just to note | I have mild rosacea on my cheeks.

I bought this product on a whim, as I was originally looking for a oil controlling primer, but when I saw this one tailored for redness I thought it would be great for my rosy cheeks and redness around my nose.

As I bought this online I wasn't sure what I was going to be getting. When it arrived i was supprised at the size the primer, as i was with the Murad samples (the primer is about double the size of Benefit Porefessional, 22 ml and is £6 cheaper). A little goes a long way with this primer.

The primer is green and has a  thick consistency (Thicker than a typical primer). Clinique advises you to apply in the morning after moisturising. The primer spreads so much easily if you moisturise beforehand even if you have oily skin.

Does it do what it says on the tube? Yes, once it is completely settled into my skin I can see that my redness has settled down after a minute or so (give it time to work).

The only thing I don't like is the thick consistency, but if it was thinner I don't think it would have the same effectiveness.

Would I recommend this to a friend? yes

Feel free to comment and let me know of any suggestions you have.

  5. i've always been a big fan on clinique!
i sometimes experience redness too and have been looking for a decent primer that actually does what it says on the tin...might try this out
although i am a little put off about the consistency...sudocrem is pretty thick!

    1. Its thicker than a typical primer but it does soak in, it is thinner than sudocrem. (I can't really think of anything different to compare it with)

  7. Cheaper than Benefit's Porefessional? That's reeled me in! I like it but it costs over AUS$50. I'm putting this onto my wishlist :)

  8. Good to hear that it really does what it says in reducing the redness of your skin! I have not tried Porefessional or this one, though primer is usually a step that I neglect in my daily routine.
